We breed very rarely now and are pleased to announce that we have a litter of tricolour dog and bitch puppies. They will be available to caring homes at the end of October. All our puppies leave here microchipped, vet checked, registered with the Kennel Club, with 4 weeks insurance, and with a first vaccination.
The sire of these babies is Switherland The Designer and their dam is Willow (Barrenger Stedman Triples who is the sister of Barrenger Bellringer of Shazermo -winner of 1 CC and 2 Res CC’s)
If you have not owned a Basset Hound before please read our notes at the bottom of the page. Owning a Basset Hound is a serious & long term commitment - they are not cuddly puppies for long!
YOU WANT A BASSET HOUND? -
We only breed an occasional litter of puppies when we want to keep something ourselves. . We do not breed from Bassets that have known hereditary problems and try our best to breed sound healthy puppies.
Basset Puppies are very photogenic but they grow up into large bouncy hounds with a mind of their own! If you have not been owned by a Basset Hound before we like you to come and meet our adults and then go away for a big think before diving in. Basset Hounds are surprisingly large dogs - they just have short legs! You will also be committing yourself to many years of loving, feeding, walking and clearing up after your hound!. What you need to consider is - will this Basset fit into my lifestyle. If you work full time a Basset is not for you. A Basset will hate to be left for 6-10 hours a day 5 times a week - Would you like to be shut in a room for that length of time? Can I spare time and patience to look after my Basset. Can I also afford the running costs ( feeding, insurance, kennelling when on holiday, vet bills, and those little extras as well).
Puppies leave here with a Diet Sheet, Rearing Guide, Worming Certificate, 4 weeks insurance, 5 generation pedigree, Kennel Club Registration Certificate, a week’s supply of food and are inoculated depending on their age. We are always available for advice and help.
Please note -
All of our puppies are sold as pets only and come with a Kennel Club “not for breeding” endorsement. This means that you cannot breed from your Basset Hound without our permission. If, at any time, you find you find that you cannot care for your Basset Hound, he or she must be returned to us.
Anyone buying a puppy from us signs a legally binding contract agreeing to this.
