Champion Barrenger Queen’s Indian 1983-1995 (Verwood Royal Swede ex Verwood Brimstone of Barrenger). “India” was our very first champion and was one of our successful “chess” litter. She was always so elegant and composed - until we were on a walk when she would dash away on her own private hunt. . We never knew where she was - but she always knew where we were - and never got lost. India had 2 litters of 13! From the first we kept Barrenger Indian Summer & from the second Barrenger Demon King .
Barrenger Figaro (Ch Vinell Dapper Dandy ex Barrenger Brimtree). from our “Mozart Operas” litter. Figaro lived up to his name - he was always dashing about here and there! In the showring he won a Junior Warrant and his Kennel Club Stud Book Number. He also had great fun in his middle age trying to become a member of the local mini agility team. He thoroughly enjoyed his Thursday evening exercise. He was surprisingly agile and tackled the see-saw, high walk and tunnel with gusto. In true Basset fashion he would always try and go under the jumps instead of over. Seeing Figaro’s long body weave in and out of the poles was quite something.
Barrenger Indian Summer 1986-1997 (Ch Vinell Dapper Dandy ex Ch Barrenger Queen’s Indian). “Summer” won her Stud Book number and 3 Green Stars in Ireland where she is shown enjoying her holiday by the sea. When mated to Demon King they produced Ch Barrenger Devil’s Snuffbox, Barrenger Devil May Care 1 CC, & Barrenger Red Devil. Summer was a very laid back girl and everyone enjoyed her company.
